League Play

Our league offers weekly game formats you can opt-in to play, plus optional season-long competitions.

Weekly games

Each week features a different game format. This keeps play fun, fair, and interesting for a range of skill levels. You can still play each week without entering into any games.

You must have a GHIN established in order to enter to play in the weekly games.

  • Formats rotate: e.g., low net (sweeps), scramble, low putts, etc.
  • Cost: $2 each week
  • Results: posted weekly

How scoring works

  • Gross score: the number of strokes you take.
  • Game adjustments: some formats have special scoring rules.
  • Net score: raw score adjusted by handicap and any other adjustment for that week's game.

Common weekly formats

Sweeps

Handicap is applied to determine net score. Lowest net wins.

Scramble-Blind Draw

Blind Draw for 18-hole players. All players must play 18 holes. Blind Draw optional for 9-hole players. Players cannot join 18-hole players then drop out at 9.

Low Putts

Count total putts only while on green.

Season-long competitions

These run across the season and add a fun layer of progress and recognition.

Eclectic – Birdies

Runs: March – October

Cost: $3

  • Keep track of your birdies on game day.
  • The total birdie pool is divided by the total number of birdies recorded across the field to determine the value of a single birdie, which is then paid out to players based on their birdies.
  • Must be attested by another member

Eclectic – Chip-ins

Runs: March 4 – October 21

Cost: $3

  • Keep track of your chip-ins on game day.
  • The total chip-in pool is divided by the total number of chip-ins recorded across the field to determine the value of a single chip-in, which is then paid out to players based on their chip-ins.
  • Must be attested by another member

Eclectic

Runs: March 4 – October 21

Cost: $3

  • Best score over the course of the season for 18-holes / 9-holes
  • Update your eclectic card each week to indicate the lowest score on each hole over the course of the season

Hole-in-one

Runs: March 4 – October 28

Cost: $5

  • You must be a current club member and have paid into the pot
  • Must be attested by a fellow golfer
  • Does not have to be on a game day but must be at Veterans Memorial Golf Course
  • If we have no winner in a season, the pot is carried over to next season

Club Championship

Takes place: Three designated weeks in August and September

Cost: $15 entry fee

  • Best 2 out of 3 rounds
  • Must play on the designated play dates
  • A, B, and C flights based on GHIN handicap
  • Open to all ladies club members

Most Improved Player

Takes place: April 1 - October 21
